LIQUID EJECTING HEAD, LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS, AND PIEZOELECTRIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18322423 titled 'LIQUID EJECTING HEAD, LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS, AND PIEZOELECTRIC DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a patent application for a device that includes a vibration plate, electrodes, and a piezoelectric layer.

  • The device is designed to be used in a pressure chamber.
  • The components are stacked in a specific order, with the vibration plate being closest to the pressure chamber.
  • There are two areas outside of the active area of the device.
  • In the first area, the piezoelectric layer, second electrode, insulating layer, and first conductive layer are stacked in that order.
  • In the second area, only the piezoelectric layer and insulating layer are stacked, without the second electrode and first conductive layer.

Original Abstract Submitted

The vibration plate, the first electrode, the piezoelectric layer, and the second electrode are stacked in this order from the pressure chamber plate side in an active area facing the pressure chamber. An area located outwardly from the active area in a longitudinal direction of the pressure chamber includes a first area in which the piezoelectric layer, the second electrode, the insulating layer, and the first conductive layer are stacked in this order, and a second area in which the piezoelectric layer and the insulating layer are stacked in this order without the second electrode and the first conductive layer.
