Method and Apparatus for Detecting a Specific Movement of a Bike - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18310979 titled 'Method and Apparatus for Detecting a Specific Movement of a Bike

Simplified Explanation

- The patent application describes a method for detecting a specific movement of a bike. - The method involves using two sensors to gather data about the bike's movement. - The first sensor collects data that is used to determine an indicator, which indicates the likelihood of the specific movement occurring. - The second sensor measures the strength of the bike's movement. - A weighting factor is determined based on the data from the second sensor. - The indicator is then weighted by the weighting factor. - Finally, the weighted indicator is used to detect whether the specific movement of interest is occurring.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method for detecting a movement of interest of a bike is disclosed. The method includes (i) sensing first sensor data by way of a first sensor, (ii) determining an indicator based on the first sensor data, wherein the indicator indicates a probability of a presence of a movement of interest of the bike , (iii) sensing second sensor data by way of a second sensor, wherein the second sensor data describes a strength of a movement of the bike, (iv) determining a weighting factor based on the second sensor data, (v) weighting the indicator by the weighting factor, and (vi) detecting whether the movement of interest is given based on the weighted indicator.
