TIME DOMAIN RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18219261 titled 'TIME DOMAIN RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION

Simplified Explanation

This patent application is about time domain resource allocations in wireless communications systems. It describes various methods and techniques for efficient allocation of resources in the time domain for wireless communication.

  • Time-domain symbol determination and indication: The patent application proposes a method to determine and indicate the symbols used in the physical downlink shared channel and physical uplink shared channel. This is done by combining higher layer information and downlink control information signaling.
  • Time domain resource allocations for mini-slot operations: The patent application introduces a technique for allocating resources in mini-slots, which are smaller units of time within a larger time frame. This allows for more flexible and efficient use of resources.
  • Rules for postponing and dropping for multiple mini-slot transmission: The patent application defines rules for postponing or dropping multiple mini-slot transmissions. This helps in managing and optimizing the allocation of resources when there are multiple transmissions happening simultaneously.
  • Collision handling of sounding reference signals: The patent application addresses the issue of collisions between sounding reference signals and semi-statically or semi-persistently configured uplink transmissions. It proposes a method to handle these collisions and ensure efficient use of resources.

Overall, this patent application presents innovative techniques for time domain resource allocations in wireless communications systems, aiming to improve efficiency and performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for time domain resource allocations in wireless communications systems. Disclosed embodiments include time-domain symbol determination and/or indication using a combination of higher layer and downlink control information signaling for physical downlink shared channel and physical uplink shared channel; time domain resource allocations for mini-slot operations; rules for postponing and dropping for multiple mini-slot transmission; and collision handling of sounding reference signals with semi-statically or semi-persistently configured uplink transmissions. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
