SELF-INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION FOR FULL-DUPLEX COMMUNICATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18147494 Titled 'SELF-INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION FOR FULL-DUPLEX COMMUNICATION'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a wireless communication system where a network node can transmit and receive signals simultaneously using a full duplex configuration. The node is able to cancel out any interference caused by its own transmitted signal using a nonlinear interference cancellation procedure. This procedure is based on a set of candidate kernels that represent a model of the self-interference. The abstract mentions that there are other aspects of the system that are described as well.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may transmit a first signal in accordance with a full duplex configuration. The network node may receive a second signal comprising a communication and self-interference associated with the first signal, wherein receiving the second signal comprises cancelling the self-interference based at least in part on a nonlinear interference cancellation (NLIC) procedure associated with a subset of kernels of a set of nonlinear candidate kernels corresponding to a nonlinear self-interference model. Numerous other aspects are described.
