METHOD OF TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL AND APPARATUS THEREFOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18140551 titled 'METHOD OF TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure describes a method for a user equipment (UE) to receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a wireless communication system.
- The method involves the UE receiving two parameters: one related to a bandwidth part (BWP) and another related to a set of search spaces (SS) included in the BWP.
- The UE then monitors only a specific SS set among the multiple SS sets based on the received parameters.
- If the UE receives a first PDCCH in the specific SS set, it starts monitoring all of the SS sets.
- The UE can then receive a second PDCCH in one of the SS sets.
- If the SS set where the second PDCCH is received is the same as the specific SS set, monitoring of other SS sets can be terminated.
This method simplifies the process of receiving PDCCH by allowing the UE to monitor only a specific SS set initially and then expanding the monitoring to all SS sets if necessary. This can improve efficiency and reduce complexity in wireless communication systems.
Original Abstract Submitted
The present disclosure provides a method of receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method may include: receiving (i) a first parameter related to a bandwidth part (BWP) and (ii) a second parameter related to a plurality of search space (SS) sets included in the BWP through higher layers; monitoring only a specific SS set among the plurality of SS sets; based on that a first PDCCH is received in the specific SS set, monitoring all of the plurality of SS sets; and receiving a second PDCCH in one SS set among the plurality of SS sets. Based on that the one SS set is the specific SS set, monitoring of other SS sets except for the specific SS set among the plurality of SS sets may be terminated.
