TIME DIVISION DUPLEX (TDD) SLOT FORMAT CONFIGURATION INDICATION FOR SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18137316 Titled 'TIME DIVISION DUPLEX (TDD) SLOT FORMAT CONFIGURATION INDICATION FOR SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS'

Simplified Explanation

This abstract describes a wireless communication system and method that focuses on sidelink communications in a Time-Division Duplexing (TDD) system. The system involves a first user equipment (UE) receiving a TDD configuration from a base station (BS). Based on this configuration, the first UE selects a specific TDD configuration from a set of pre-configured options. The first UE then transmits this selected TDD configuration to a second UE. Using this configuration, the first and second UEs can engage in sidelink communication. The abstract also mentions that there are other features included in this system, but they are not further explained.

Original Abstract Submitted

Wireless communications systems and methods related to sidelink communications in a TDD system are provided. A first user equipment (UE) may receive from a base station (BS), a time-division-duplexing (TDD) configuration. The first UE may select a first TDD configuration from a set of configured TDD configurations based on the TDD configuration. Additionally, the first UE may transmit to a second UE, an indication of the first TDD configuration. The first and the second UEs may communicate a sidelink communication based on the first TDD configuration. Other features are also claimed and described.
