CONFIGURED GRANT (CG) UPLINK CONTROL INFORMATION AND RETRANSMISSIONS FOR NON-CONFIGURATION OF CG RETRANSMISSION TIMER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for patent application number 18044139 Titled 'CONFIGURED GRANT (CG) UPLINK CONTROL INFORMATION AND RETRANSMISSIONS FOR NON-CONFIGURATION OF CG RETRANSMISSION TIMER'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a wireless communication system where a user equipment (UE) can generate and transmit uplink control information to a base station. This information, called configured grant uplink control information (CG-UCI), is generated when a timer for retransmitting a configured grant (CG) is not set. The UE can also receive a configuration indicating that retransmission on a CG resource is enabled, and based on this, it can transmit a retransmission on the CG resource after receiving feedback for the CG communication. The abstract mentions that there are numerous other aspects provided, but they are not specified.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may generate configured grant uplink control information (CG-UCI) based at least in part on a determination that a configured grant (CG) retransmission timer is not configured. The UE may transmit the CG-UCI on a physical uplink channel to a base station. In some aspects, the UE may receive a configuration indicating that retransmission on a CG resource is enabled, in association with a determination that a CG retransmission timer is not configured. The UE may transmit a retransmission on the CG resource based at least in part on receiving a message that includes hybrid automatic repeat request feedback for one or more CG communications. Numerous other aspects are provided.
