The present invention provides an information providing system () including a counterpart face image registration unit () that acquires a counterpart face image being a face image of a counterpart who is a target of investigation by a user, and registers the counterpart face image in association with user discrimination information of the user, an information generation unit () that detects, based on the counterpart face image, the counterpart from an in-store image capturing inside of a store, determines, based on a behavior content of the detected counterpart inside a store indicated in the in-store image, a product in which the counterpart shows interest, and registers product information of the determined product in association with the user discrimination information, and a provision unit () that provides the user with product information, registered in association with the user discrimination information, of a product in which the counterpart shows interest.
