FLOW PATH SWITCHING DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18028871 Titled 'FLOW PATH SWITCHING DEVICE'

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure describes a flow path switching device that is used in indoor units. The device includes a case with a first nozzle for fluid inflow from the indoor unit and a second nozzle for fluid outflow to the indoor unit. It also has multiple inner outflow pipes for fluid supplied from the first nozzle and multiple inner inflow pipes for fluid supplied to the second nozzle. These pipes are connected through a flow path connection portion.

The device also includes a valve that is rotatably placed in the flow path connection portion. The valve can connect one of the outflow pipes to the first nozzle and one of the inflow pipes to the second nozzle. Additionally, there is a motor located on one side of the valve that rotates the valve.

It is worth noting that the inner outflow pipes are positioned in the opposite direction to the inner inflow pipes, based on the rotation shaft of the valve.

Original Abstract Submitted

A flow path switching device of the present disclosure includes a case including a first nozzle into which fluid flows from an indoor unit, a second nozzle which sends fluid to the indoor unit, a plurality of inner outflow pipes through which fluid supplied from the first nozzle flows, a plurality of inner inflow pipes through which fluid supplied to the second nozzle flows, and a flow path connection portion in which a space is formed to connect the plurality of inner outflow pipes with the first nozzle or to connect the plurality of inner inflow pipes with the second nozzle; a valve which is rotatably disposed in the space, connects one of the plurality of outflow pipes and the first nozzle, and connects one of the plurality of inflow pipes and the second nozzle; and a motor which is disposed in one side of the valve, and rotates the valve, wherein the plurality of inner outflow pipes are disposed in the opposite direction to the plurality of inner inflow pipes based on a rotation shaft of the valve.
