METHOD, TRANSMISSION DEVICE, PROCESSING DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR TRANSMITTING REFERENCE SIGNAL, AND METHOD AND RECEPTION DEVICE FOR RECEIVING REFERENCE SIGNAL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18027322 titled 'METHOD, TRANSMISSION DEVICE, PROCESSING DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR TRANSMITTING REFERENCE SIGNAL, AND METHOD AND RECEPTION DEVICE FOR RECEIVING REFERENCE SIGNAL

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a transmission device in a wireless communication system that maps reference signals for multiple antennas to frequency resources and transmits them.

  • The device maps reference signals for different antennas to specific frequency resources.
  • The frequency difference between the reference signals for two antennas is denoted as Δf.
  • The mapping ensures that the frequency difference between the reference signals for two antennas in different directions is maintained.
  • The abstract mentions the use of antenna indices (m and n) to represent the direction of the antennas.
  • The innovation aims to optimize the transmission of reference signals in a wireless communication system.

Original Abstract Submitted

A transmission device in a wireless communication system: maps respective reference signals for a plurality of antennas to frequency resources; and transmits the reference signals on the frequency resources. Mapping the reference signals to the frequency resources comprises mapping the reference signals such that: (i) the frequency difference between a frequency resource ffor a reference signal of an antenna Vand a frequency resource ffor a reference signal of an antenna Vis Δf; and (ii) the frequency difference between the frequency resource fand a frequency resource ffor a reference signal of an antenna Vis Δf, wherein m is an antenna index along a first direction, and n is an antenna index along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.
