ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18026813 Titled 'ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE'

Simplified Explanation

The present invention is about organic electroluminescent devices that have one or more light-emitting layers. These layers are made up of sublayers, which include components that transfer excitation energy and small emitters that emit light with a narrow range of wavelengths. The light emitted by these devices has a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 0.25 eV or less. The invention also includes a method for generating light using these devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present invention relates to organic electroluminescent devices including one or more light-emitting layers B, each of which is composed of one or more sublayers including as a whole one or more excitation energy transfer components EET-1, one or more excitation energy transfer components EET-2, and one or more small full width at half maximum (FWHM) emitters Semitting light with an FWHM of less than or equal to 0.25 eV. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for generating light by means of an organic electroluminescent device according to the present invention.
