SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING VEHICLE CONTROL BASED ON ESTIMATED REALIZATION DELAY - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17731969 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING VEHICLE CONTROL BASED ON ESTIMATED REALIZATION DELAY

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for determining the type and timing of a vehicle control command based on an estimated realization delay.

  • The method involves identifying the realization delays associated with different control commands issued for a vehicle.
  • The second control command is issued after the first control command.
  • The first control command is issued at a specific time based on the estimated realization delays of both commands.
  • The first control command is then executed on the vehicle.
  • This approach helps optimize the timing of control commands to ensure efficient and effective vehicle control.

Original Abstract Submitted

Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to determining a type and an issue time of a vehicle control command based on an estimated realization delay. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a first realization delay associated with a first control command and identifying a second realization delay associated with a second control command. The second control command is issued after the first control command is issued. The method includes issuing the first control command at an issue time that is based on the first realization delay and the second realization delay, and realizing the first control command on a vehicle.
