PRIORITIZATION BETWEEN FEEDBACK AND COLLISION INDICATIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 17727661 Titled 'PRIORITIZATION BETWEEN FEEDBACK AND COLLISION INDICATIONS'

Simplified Explanation

This abstract describes methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications. It explains how a first user equipment (UE) can transmit feedback indications and collision indications to a second UE. The feedback indication informs whether sidelink data was successfully received and decoded by the first UE, while the collision indication indicates an expected conflict between the second UE and a third UE.

The first UE can generate a feedback message that includes both feedback indications and collision indications. It can prioritize the feedback message based on the feedback indications, collision indications, or both. Additionally, the first UE can avoid including collision indications in the same feedback message as feedback indications.

Original Abstract Submitted

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may identify feedback indications and collision indications to transmit to a second UE. A feedback indication may indicate whether sidelink data was received and decoded successfully by the first UE, and a collision indication may indicate an expected conflict between the second UE and a third UE. In one aspect, the first UE may generate a feedback message including both feedback indications and collision indications, and the first UE may prioritize the feedback message based on the feedback indications, the collision indications, or both. In another aspect, the first UE may avoid including collision indications in a same feedback message as feedback indications.
