SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNAL RESOURCE SET GROUP SWITCHING - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17661938 titled 'SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNAL RESOURCE SET GROUP SWITCHING

Simplified Explanation

- The patent application is related to wireless communication. - It describes a method for a user equipment (UE) to receive configuration information about a first sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set. - The configuration information indicates that multiple groups of SRS resource sets are associated with the first SRS resource set. - The UE also receives an indication that a specific group from the multiple groups is activated for SRS transmissions. - The specific group is included in the first one or more groups that are associated with the first SRS resource set. - Based on the activation of the specific group and its inclusion in the first one or more groups, the UE transmits an SRS using an SRS resource associated with the first SRS resource set. - The patent application includes numerous other aspects related to this method.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information, associated with a first sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set, indicating that a first one or more groups of SRS resource sets, from multiple groups of SRS resource sets, are associated with the first SRS resource set. The UE may receive an indication that a first group, from the multiple groups, is activated for SRS transmissions, the first group being included in the first one or more groups that are associated with the first SRS resource set. The UE may transmit an SRS using an SRS resource associated with the first SRS resource set based at least in part on the first group being activated and the first group being included in the first one or more groups. Numerous other aspects are provided.
