BEAM CONFIGURATION REPORTING FOR HIERARCHICAL BEAM PAIR IDENTIFICATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 17661537 Titled 'BEAM CONFIGURATION REPORTING FOR HIERARCHICAL BEAM PAIR IDENTIFICATION'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a wireless communication system where a first network entity sends information about the configuration of beams to a second network entity. This information indicates the hierarchical relationship between wide beams and multiple narrow beams. The first network entity then receives an indication from the second network entity about a scheduled interference measurement for one of the narrow beams. The abstract mentions that there are other aspects of the system that are described but not specified.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network entity may transmit, to a second network entity, beam configuration information associated with the first network entity, wherein the beam configuration information indicates hierarchical beam relations between one or more wide beams and a plurality of narrow beams. The first network entity may receive, from the second network entity, an indication of a scheduled interference measurement associated with a narrow beam of the plurality of narrow beams based at least in part on the beam configuration information associated with the first network entity. Numerous other aspects are described.
