TIMING CONTROL FOR INTER-USER EQUIPMENT MEASUREMENTS INVOLVED IN NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORKS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 17659166 Titled 'TIMING CONTROL FOR INTER-USER EQUIPMENT MEASUREMENTS INVOLVED IN NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORKS'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for a first user equipment (UE) to obtain a parameter related to the timing of measuring the Channel State Information (CLI) between itself and a second UE. The first UE then uses this parameter to avoid receiving certain data from the network during the measurement timing, as it may overlap with the measurement resources.

Original Abstract Submitted

A first UE may obtain at least one parameter associated with an Rx timing of one or more CLI measurement resources. The one or more CLI measurement resources may be associated with CLI between the first UE and at least one second UE. The first UE may further refrain from receiving one or more serving DL channels or resources from a network node during the Rx timing based on the at least one parameter. The one or more serving DL channels or resources may overlap with at least one symbol of the one or more CLI measurement resources.
