INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240135398 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an information processing apparatus that evaluates the ride comfort of autonomous driving systems in vehicles along a predetermined route.

  • The controller acquires questionnaire data with scores for each autonomous driving system in multiple vehicles.
  • The apparatus identifies a vehicle with a score below a threshold as the first vehicle and extracts data for analyzing ride comfort from it.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in the automotive industry to improve the ride comfort of autonomous vehicles.

Problems Solved

This technology helps in identifying vehicles with lower ride comfort scores and extracting data for analysis to enhance the overall experience.

Benefits

- Improved ride comfort for passengers - Enhanced performance of autonomous driving systems

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing ride comfort in autonomous vehicles for commercial transportation services.

Possible Prior Art

There may be prior art related to evaluating ride comfort in vehicles, but the specific method described in this patent application may be novel.

Unanswered Questions

How does the apparatus analyze the extracted data to improve ride comfort?

The patent application does not provide details on the specific methods or algorithms used for analyzing the extracted data.

What measures are taken based on the analysis to enhance ride comfort in autonomous vehicles?

The application does not elaborate on the actions or adjustments made to improve ride comfort once the data is analyzed.

Original Abstract Submitted

an information processing apparatus includes a controller configured to acquire questionnaire data including a score for each autonomous driving system installed in each vehicle among a plurality of vehicles operated by autonomous driving along a predetermined operation route, the score being an evaluation index of ride comfort of each vehicle, identify, based on an aggregate result of the questionnaire data, a vehicle from among the plurality of vehicles for which the score is determined to be less than a threshold as a first vehicle, and extract first data to be used in analyzing ride comfort from first vehicle information acquired by a first autonomous driving system, which is an autonomous driving system installed in the first vehicle.
