ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SPEAKER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240121539 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SPEAKER

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an electronic device with a speaker module that includes a speaker housed in a structure designed to optimize sound output and seal off unwanted spaces.

  • The speaker module includes a speaker with a first surface for audio output, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a third surface connecting the first and second surfaces.
  • The housing of the device includes a first housing with a first portion overlapping the first surface of the speaker and a second portion sealing off a second space within the housing.
  • A duct extends from the first opening of the first housing to the speaker hole, allowing sound to travel efficiently from the speaker to the outside environment.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices where sound quality is important.

Problems Solved

This innovation solves the problem of sound leakage and distortion by providing a structure that optimizes sound output and seals off unwanted spaces within the device.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved sound quality, reduced sound leakage, and a more efficient use of space within the device.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology include consumer electronics, audio equipment, and communication devices.

Possible Prior Art
