Original Abstract Submitted

a method of controlling an electronic device by using spatial information and an electronic device using spatial information are provided. the method includes selecting, based on spatial information about a space including at least one object and a task that the electronic device is set to perform, an object that obstructs the task from among objects located in a space corresponding to the task, providing a user of the electronic device with object movement guide information corresponding to attribute information about the selected object, determining a movement path used to perform the task, based on a user's response corresponding to the object movement guide information, and driving the electronic device according to the determined movement path.
