DISPLAY APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240135870 titled 'DISPLAY APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The display apparatus described in the patent application aims to reduce dead space by utilizing a unique pixel layout and data line configuration. Here are the key points of the innovation:

  • The display apparatus includes a first scan line and a second scan line extending in the same direction, with a first pixel set between them.
  • The first pixel set consists of a 1-1 pixel and a 1-2 pixel, each containing n sub-pixels.
  • There are n first data lines between the 1-1 pixel and the 1-2 pixel, running perpendicular to the scan lines and connecting to the sub-pixels.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various display devices such as smartphones, tablets, and monitors to maximize screen space and improve image quality.

Problems Solved

By reducing dead space and optimizing pixel layout, this innovation addresses the challenge of increasing display resolution and efficiency in electronic devices.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include enhanced image clarity, increased screen real estate, and improved overall display performance.

Potential Commercial Applications

Commercial applications of this technology could be seen in the consumer electronics industry, particularly in the development of high-resolution displays for mobile devices and computer monitors.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art in this field could be the use of similar pixel layouts and data line configurations in display technologies to improve image quality and screen efficiency.
