DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240130168 titled 'DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a display apparatus with a unique structure involving light-emitting diodes, a common voltage supply line, organic insulating layers, connection electrode layers, insulating layers, and metal bank layers.

  • Light-emitting diodes are arranged in the display area.
  • A common voltage supply line is located outside the display area.
  • Organic insulating layers and connection electrode layers are used to connect the voltage supply line to the display area.
  • Insulating layers separate the connection electrode layers from the metal bank layers.
  • Metal bank layers are connected to the connection electrode layers through contact holes.

Potential Applications

The technology described in the patent application could be used in various display devices, such as LED screens, electronic signage, and digital billboards.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of efficiently supplying power to a large number of light-emitting diodes in a display apparatus while maintaining proper insulation and connection between components.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved display performance, increased energy efficiency, and enhanced durability of the display apparatus.

Potential Commercial Applications

The technology could be applied in the manufacturing of LED TVs, computer monitors, outdoor advertising displays, and other electronic devices with display screens.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of metal bank layers in display devices to provide electrical connections between components. Another could be the use of organic insulating layers to insulate and protect electronic components in display apparatus.
