OUT-BAND PHYSICAL SIDELINK FEEDBACK CHANNEL (PSFCH) RESOURCES FOR SIDELINK UNLICENSED SPECTRUM: abstract simplified (17697354)

In this method for wireless communications, a transmitter user equipment (UE) receives a configuration of a first resource pool from a network entity. This first resource pool includes physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resources for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) responses. The HARQ responses are for physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmissions in a second resource pool. The transmitter UE then transmits a PSSCH on a resource in the second resource pool and requests a HARQ response for the PSSCH from a PSFCH resource in the first resource pool. Finally, the transmitter UE receives the HARQ response over the PSFCH resource from the receiver UE in response to the PSSCH transmission.
