Original Abstract Submitted
in accordance with an embodiment, a device identification method includes: obtaining historical connection data of the second device belonging to a wireless local area network (wlan), where the historical connection data reflects a connection status between each of at least one terminal device that used to be connected to the second device and the wlan; and determining the second device as an edge wireless access point (ap) device based on off-net terminal device data of the second device.
