a weight determining method and a related apparatus, to reduce a beam gain loss caused by a beam selection deviation are described. the method includes receiving an uplink reference signal and obtaining a channel reciprocity parameter between an uplink channel and a downlink channel based on the uplink reference signal. the method further includes determining state information of the downlink channel based on the channel reciprocity parameter, carrier frequency information of the uplink channel, and carrier frequency information of the downlink channel. moreover, the method includes determining a weight of a downlink reference signal based on the state information of the downlink channel.
