DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, AND CHIP - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240098829 titled 'DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, AND CHIP

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a data transmission method involving multi-link devices sending management frames to each other based on receiver and transmitter addresses.

  • Method involves generating a management frame with receiver and transmitter addresses and link indication information.
  • Management frame is sent to a second multi-link device on a specific link indicated by the link indication information.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various communication systems where data transmission between multiple devices is required, such as in networking equipment, IoT devices, and industrial automation systems.

Problems Solved

1. Efficient data transmission: By using management frames with link indication information, the method ensures that data is sent to the correct device on the appropriate link, improving efficiency in data transmission. 2. Addressing multiple stations: The method allows for communication with multiple stations operating on different links, enabling seamless data exchange in complex network environments.

Benefits

1. Improved network performance: By accurately directing data to the intended recipient, the method enhances network performance and reduces data transmission errors. 2. Scalability: The approach can be scaled to accommodate a large number of devices and links, making it suitable for expanding communication networks.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Multi-Link Data Transmission Method for Improved Network Performance"

This technology could find commercial applications in industries such as telecommunications, data centers, and smart home devices where efficient data transmission and network reliability are crucial for operations.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of management frames in network communication protocols to facilitate data transmission between devices. Another could be the implementation of multi-link systems for improved network performance in various communication technologies.

Unanswered Questions

How does this method handle network congestion and prioritize data transmission in high-traffic scenarios?

The abstract does not provide details on how the method addresses network congestion or prioritizes data transmission in situations where multiple devices are communicating simultaneously.

What security measures are in place to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access to the communication network?

The abstract does not mention any security protocols or encryption methods used to secure data transmission between multi-link devices, raising questions about the system's vulnerability to cyber threats.

Original Abstract Submitted

embodiments of this disclosure provide a data transmission method, a communication apparatus, a computer-readable storage medium, and a chip. the method includes: generating, by a first multi-link device, a management frame, where the management frame includes a receiver address, a transmitter address, and link indication information, and the link indication information indicates that the management frame is applied to at least one link corresponding to the link indication information; and sending the management frame to a second multi-link device on a link on which a station indicated by the receiver address or a station indicated by the transmitter address operates.
