The electronic device broadcasts an advertisement packet including at least one piece of first protocol/service information, receives a connection request packet including at least one piece of second protocol/service information from an external electronic device, and, when the at least one piece of second protocol/service information is the same as the at least one piece of first protocol/service information, transmits a connection response packet to the external electronic device.
