MESSAGING PROCESSING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240121205 titled 'MESSAGING PROCESSING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method for scheduling messages in an instant messaging client, allowing users to set a message send time and create scheduled messages directly within the conversation interface.
- Presenting a schedule set area and scheduled send button in the target conversation in response to a user's trigger operation.
- Determining a message send time set by the user via the schedule set area.
- Retrieving message content from a message input box and creating a scheduled message at the specified send time.
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in various messaging platforms to allow users to schedule messages ahead of time, improving communication efficiency.
Problems Solved
This innovation solves the problem of users forgetting to send important messages by enabling them to schedule messages in advance.
Benefits
The technology enhances user experience by providing a convenient way to schedule messages directly within the messaging interface, saving time and reducing the risk of forgetting to send messages.
Potential Commercial Applications
This technology could be valuable for businesses that rely on instant messaging for communication, as it allows for better message management and timely communication with clients and colleagues.
Possible Prior Art
One possible prior art could be the use of third-party scheduling apps or plugins for messaging platforms that enable users to schedule messages in advance.
Unanswered Questions
How does this technology handle message editing after scheduling a message?
The patent application does not specify how the system handles message editing or updates to scheduled messages. This could be an important consideration for users who may need to make changes to scheduled messages before they are sent.
Are there any limitations to the number of scheduled messages a user can create?
The patent application does not mention any limitations on the number of scheduled messages a user can create. It would be important to know if there are any restrictions on the frequency or quantity of scheduled messages that can be set up by a user.
Original Abstract Submitted
disclosed are methods of message processing, apparatuses therefor, and an electronic device. an implementation of the disclosure includes: presenting, responsive to a user's preset trigger operation in a target conversation, a schedule set area and a scheduled send button in the target conversation; determining a message send time set by the user via the schedule set area; and retrieving, after the user triggers the scheduled send button, message content in a message input box of the target conversation as message content for a target scheduled message, and creating the target scheduled message according to the message send time. this implementation realizes direct creation of a scheduled message via a message input box of an instant messaging client, facilitates converting an edited instant message to a scheduled message, extends functions of the instant messaging client, and enhances user experience.
