WINDOW TYPE AIR-CONDITIONER AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240085056 titled 'WINDOW TYPE AIR-CONDITIONER AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a window type air conditioner with an outdoor module, an indoor module, a refrigerant pipe, and a connection support module.

  • The outdoor module includes a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor housing.
  • The indoor module includes an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor housing spaced apart from the outdoor housing.
  • The refrigerant pipe allows refrigerant to move between the indoor and outdoor modules.
  • The connection support module connects and supports the positional relationship between the indoor and outdoor modules.
  • The refrigerant pipe extends through the first connection rod of the connection support module, with a sealing member forming a seal between the pipe and the rod.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in residential and commercial buildings to provide efficient cooling solutions through window type air conditioners.

Problems Solved

This innovation solves the problem of securely connecting and supporting the indoor and outdoor modules of a window type air conditioner while maintaining a proper seal around the refrigerant pipe.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved efficiency, reliability, and longevity of window type air conditioners due to the secure connection and seal provided by the connection support module.

Potential Commercial Applications

The potential commercial applications of this technology include the manufacturing and sale of window type air conditioners for residential and commercial use, offering a reliable and efficient cooling solution.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of traditional connection methods for window type air conditioners, which may not provide the same level of secure connection and sealing as the innovative connection support module described in this patent application.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology compare to existing connection methods for window type air conditioners?

The article does not provide a direct comparison to existing connection methods, leaving it unclear how this innovation improves upon traditional techniques.

What impact could this technology have on the overall efficiency of window type air conditioners?

The article does not discuss the potential impact of this technology on the efficiency of window type air conditioners, leaving it uncertain how much of an improvement it may offer in terms of energy consumption and cooling performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

a window type air conditioner including an outdoor module including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor housing; an indoor module including an indoor heat exchanger, and an indoor housing spaced apart from the outdoor housing; a refrigerant pipe through which refrigerant moves between the indoor and the outdoor module; and a connection support module including a first connection rod having an inner circumferential surface, and a sealing member inside the first connection rod, wherein the connection support module connects, and supports a positional relationship between, the indoor and the outdoor module, the refrigerant pipe extends through the first connection rod so that an inner circumferential surface of the first connection rod is spaced apart from an outer circumferential surface of the refrigerant pipe, and the sealing member is arranged to form a seal between the refrigerant pipe and the first connection rod.
