ATTACHMENT FOR SECURING A LOAD OF ELONGATED MEMBERS AGAINST A WALL SURFACE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240051618 titled 'ATTACHMENT FOR SECURING A LOAD OF ELONGATED MEMBERS AGAINST A WALL SURFACE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an apparatus for supporting elongated members on a wall surface. The apparatus includes a sheet that is mounted to the wall in an upright position, with one face facing the wall surface and another face facing away from the wall. The apparatus also includes holders that are connected to the outer face of the sheet in a linear fashion, forming columns across the sheet. These holders are designed to receive the elongated members in a horizontal orientation, allowing them to be supported one above the other.

  • The apparatus is designed to support multiple elongated members on a wall surface.
  • The sheet is mounted to the wall in an upright position, with one face facing the wall surface and another face facing away from the wall.
  • The holders are connected to the outer face of the sheet in a linear fashion, forming columns across the sheet.
  • The holders are arranged to receive the elongated members in a horizontal orientation.
  • The elongated members can be supported one above the other on the apparatus.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Displaying and organizing tools or equipment on a workshop wall.
  • Storing and organizing sports equipment such as bats, rackets, or hockey sticks.
  • Hanging and organizing gardening tools or hoses on a shed wall.
  • Displaying and organizing kitchen utensils or pots and pans on a kitchen wall.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Provides a space-saving solution for storing elongated members on a wall.
  • Keeps the elongated members organized and easily accessible.
  • Prevents the elongated members from cluttering the floor or other surfaces.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Maximizes the use of vertical space on a wall.
  • Easy installation and removal of the elongated members.
  • Versatile and customizable arrangement of the holders.
  • Provides a neat and organized appearance to the wall surface.

Original Abstract Submitted

an apparatus for supporting a plurality of elongated members on a wall defining an upstanding wall surface comprises a sheet configured for mounting to the wall in substantially-planar upstanding orientation with one face disposed opposite to the wall surface, so as to be an inner face, and an opposite face of the sheet facing away from the wall, so as to be an outer face. the apparatus includes a plurality of holders each arranged to receive one of the elongated members in generally horizontal orientation and connected to the outer face of the sheet in an array forming at least one column across the sheet in which the holders are disposed in generally linear fashion one above the other between the upper and lower ends of the sheet so that the elongated members are supportable generally one above the other in horizontal orientation.
