SMART MIRROR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240032711 titled 'SMART MIRROR

Simplified Explanation

The present invention is a smart mirror that can be installed in various settings such as a bathroom vanity box, indoor vanity table, or general cosmetic mirror. The mirror is equipped with an intelligent identification device, which is the main body of the controller. The controller includes an image recognition device, infrared sensor, and/or voice recognition device, and is connected to a switch device with electrical wires. The switch device can be connected to a defogging device, audio device, lighting device, and/or playback device.

In use, the controller senses external signal sources through the identification components. After accurately judging the input signal, the controller sends instructions to activate the corresponding devices to perform predetermined functional actions. This allows for intelligent home use for humans.

  • The smart mirror is installed in various settings such as bathrooms, vanity tables, or as a sports mirror.
  • The intelligent identification device inside the mirror includes an image recognition device, infrared sensor, and/or voice recognition device.
  • The controller is connected to a switch device with electrical wires.
  • The switch device can be connected to a defogging device, audio device, lighting device, and/or playback device.
  • The controller accurately judges input signals and activates corresponding devices to perform predetermined actions.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Smart mirrors can be used in homes, hotels, or other establishments to provide intelligent functionality.
  • The image recognition device can be used for facial recognition, allowing personalized settings and preferences for different users.
  • The voice recognition device can be used for voice commands, allowing hands-free operation of the mirror.

  • The audio device can provide music or audio feedback.
  • The lighting device can provide adjustable lighting for different needs.
  • The playback device can play videos or tutorials for makeup application or other purposes.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Traditional mirrors lack intelligent functionality and cannot perform predetermined actions based on user input.
  • Users may need to manually adjust lighting or defog the mirror, which can be inconvenient.
  • Traditional mirrors do not have built-in image or voice recognition capabilities.

Benefits of this technology:

  • The smart mirror provides intelligent functionality, making it more convenient and user-friendly.
  • Personalized settings and preferences can be saved for different users.
  • Hands-free operation through voice commands enhances user experience.
  • The defogging device ensures a clear reflection at all times.
  • The audio device and playback device provide additional entertainment or educational features.
  • Adjustable lighting allows users to customize their mirror experience.

Original Abstract Submitted

the present invention provides a smart mirror, which can be installed in a bathroom vanity box, an indoor vanity table, or a general cosmetic mirror, sports mirror, etc., which is characterized in that an intelligent identification device is arranged inside the mirror. the main body of the intelligent recognition device is a controller, including at least combined with an image recognition device, and/or an infrared sensor, and/or a voice recognition device, and connected to a switch device with electrical wires. the switch device can be electrically connected to a defogging device, and/or an audio device, and/or a lighting device, and/or a playback device, respectively. in use, the external signal source is sensed by one or more identification components inside the controller. after accurately judging the input signal, one or several instructions will be sent to activate the corresponding one or more devices to perform predetermined functional actions. that achieves intelligent home use for human.
