LIGHT BUS IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTIONS WITH FORMWORK PANELS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240031025 titled 'LIGHT BUS IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTIONS WITH FORMWORK PANELS

Simplified Explanation

The present invention is a system for light-based signal exchange between multiple formwork panels. The formwork panels are equipped with a light hub that transmits light pulses in a light channel within the panel to the adjacent panels. Acknowledgment signals are received to detect the presence of other light hubs in the construction setting. All signals are aggregated in a master light hub, which is in data exchange with a main unit that can serve as a gateway to a secondary computer system. The data transmission follows a predefined protocol.

  • The system enables light-based signal exchange between formwork panels.
  • Formwork panels are equipped with light hubs to transmit light pulses.
  • Light pulses are transmitted through a light channel within the panels to adjacent panels.
  • Acknowledgment signals are received to detect the presence of other light hubs.
  • All signals are aggregated in a master light hub.
  • The master light hub is in data exchange with a main unit that can connect to a secondary computer system.
  • Data transmission follows a predefined protocol.

Potential Applications:

  • Construction industry: The system can be used in construction projects where formwork panels need to communicate with each other.
  • Automation: The technology can be applied in automated systems that require communication between different components or modules.

Problems Solved:

  • Communication between formwork panels: The system solves the problem of exchanging signals between formwork panels in a construction setting.
  • Efficient data transmission: The predefined protocol ensures efficient and reliable data transmission between the panels and the main unit.

Benefits:

  • Improved construction efficiency: The system allows for seamless communication between formwork panels, enabling better coordination and efficiency in construction projects.
  • Reduced errors: The use of light-based signal exchange reduces the chances of errors or miscommunication compared to traditional methods.
  • Scalability: The system can be easily scaled up or down depending on the size and complexity of the construction project.

Original Abstract Submitted

the present invention relates to a system for light-based signal exchange between a plurality of formwork panels (p). the formwork panels (p) are equipped with a light hub (lh) which serve to transmit light pulses in a light channel inside the formwork panel (p) to the directly adjacent panels. respective acknowledgment signals are received in order to discover the existence of the other light hubs (lh) being present in the constructional setting. all the signals are aggregated in one master light hub (mlh) which is in data exchange to a main unit (mu), which may serve as gateway to a secondary computer system (2c). the data transmission is executed according to a predefined protocol.
