EARPHONE DEVICE, COMPENSATION METHOD THEREOF AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240021186 titled 'EARPHONE DEVICE, COMPENSATION METHOD THEREOF AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an earphone device that includes a wireless or wired transceiver module to receive an electrical signal from an electronic device. It also includes a compensation module connected to the transceiver module, which is used to implement a frequency response curve and generate a filter parameter to compensate for the electrical signal in each frequency band. The device further includes a transducer to convert the compensated electrical signal into sound and transmit it.

  • The earphone device includes a wireless or wired transceiver module to receive an electrical signal from an electronic device.
  • A compensation module is connected to the transceiver module and implements a frequency response curve to calculate the frequency response of the electrical signal in each frequency band.
  • The compensation module generates a filter parameter to compensate for the electrical signal in each frequency band.
  • The earphone device also includes a transducer to convert the compensated electrical signal into sound and transmit it.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Active noise cancellation in earphones or headphones.
  • Improved audio quality and clarity in earphones or headphones.
  • Enhanced sound experience for users of electronic devices.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Compensation module helps to adjust the frequency response of the electrical signal, compensating for any deficiencies or imbalances in the audio output.
  • Active noise cancellation chip reduces unwanted background noise, providing a more immersive audio experience.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved audio quality and clarity for users.
  • Enhanced noise cancellation capabilities for a more immersive audio experience.
  • Customizable frequency response curve for personalized sound preferences.

Original Abstract Submitted

an earphone device is provided and includes: a wireless or wired transceiver module configured to receive a first electrical signal from an electronic device via a wireless or wired transmission network; a first compensation module connected to the wireless or wired transceiver module and arranged in a streaming audio gain compensating filter of an active noise cancellation chip, where the first compensation module is used to implement a frequency response curve to calculate a frequency response of the first electrical signal in each frequency band, and to generate a first filter parameter of a target frequency response curve via a first compensation gain conversion model, so that the first filter parameter gain compensates the first electrical signal in each of the frequencies; and a first transducer connected to the first compensation module to convert the first electrical signal gain compensating into sound and then transmit the sound. further, a compensation method of the earphone device and a computer program product for implementing the compensation method are also provided.
