PRINTING CASSETTE HAVING STRUCTURE FOR RESTRAINING POWER TRANSMISSION LOSS, AND PRINTING DEVICE USING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240010013 titled 'PRINTING CASSETTE HAVING STRUCTURE FOR RESTRAINING POWER TRANSMISSION LOSS, AND PRINTING DEVICE USING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a printing cassette that can be attached to a printer body. The cassette includes a power transmission mechanism and a guide case that accommodates the mechanism. The guide case has a guide portion for guiding a printing tape, as well as engagement surfaces for attaching the cassette to the printer body. The cassette is designed with a straight line passing through the engagement surfaces and the rotation axes of the input and output rotational parts.

  • The printing cassette is attachable to a printer body.
  • It includes a power transmission mechanism and a guide case.
  • The guide case accommodates the power transmission mechanism.
  • The guide case has a guide portion for the printing tape.
  • It also has engagement surfaces for attaching the cassette to the printer body.
  • The cassette is designed with a straight line passing through the engagement surfaces and the rotation axes of the input and output rotational parts.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Printing and labeling industries
  • Office and home printers
  • Manufacturing and packaging industries

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Provides a secure and efficient attachment of the printing cassette to the printer body.
  • Ensures proper guidance of the printing tape during printing.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Simplifies the process of attaching and detaching the printing cassette.
  • Improves the accuracy and quality of printed output.
  • Reduces the risk of misalignment or damage to the printing tape.
  • Enhances the overall performance and reliability of the printer.

Original Abstract Submitted

a printing cassette is attachable to a printer body including a cassette accommodating portion provided with a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion. the printing cassette includes a power transmission mechanism including an input rotational part and an output rotational part, and a guide case accommodating the power transmission mechanism therein. the guide case has a guide portion configured to guide a printing tape, a first side surface and a second side surface interposing the power transmission mechanism therebetween, a first engagement surface engageable with the first engaging portion, and a second engagement surface engageable with the second engaging portion. a first imaginary straight line is defined in the printing cassette, the first imaginary straight line passing through the first engagement surface and the second engagement surface and being interposed between a rotation axis of the input rotational part and a rotation axis of the output rotational part.
