LAUNDRY PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18542528 titled 'LAUNDRY PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The apparatus described in the patent application is a laundry system that includes a washing machine, a drying machine, and a control panel with two user interfaces for controlling each machine separately. The control panel also features start/pause buttons for each machine and a display for showing operation information.

  • The apparatus includes a washing machine, a drying machine, and a control panel with separate user interfaces for each machine.
  • The control panel has start/pause buttons for both machines and a display for showing operation information.
  • The drying machine can be controlled independently in response to inputs received through the control panel.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in household laundry systems to provide users with a more convenient and efficient way to do their laundry.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of having to manually transfer clothes from the washing machine to the drying machine, as both machines can be controlled from the same control panel.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include increased convenience, time savings, and potentially improved energy efficiency by optimizing the laundry process.

Potential Commercial Applications

This technology could be commercialized by appliance manufacturers to create innovative laundry systems for residential and commercial use.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art for this technology could be laundry systems with separate washing and drying machines that require manual operation and monitoring.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology improve user experience compared to traditional laundry systems?

This technology improves user experience by allowing for seamless control of both the washing and drying machines from a single control panel, eliminating the need for manual intervention between cycles.

What are the potential cost implications of implementing this technology in laundry systems?

The cost implications of implementing this technology could include increased manufacturing costs for the integrated control panel and user interfaces, which may impact the overall price of the laundry system for consumers.

Original Abstract Submitted

An apparatus comprising: a washing machine, a drying machine disposed on the washing machine, and a control panel. The control panel including a first user interface configured to control the washing machine, a second user interface configured to control the drying machine, a first start/pause button configured to receive an input for starting or pausing an operating of the washing machine, a second user interface configured to receive an input for controlling the drying machine, and a display configured to display operation information of the washing machine and operation information of the drying machine. The apparatus configured to control an operation of the drying machine in response to an input received through the second start/pause button while operation information of the washing machine is displayed on the display.
