Original Abstract Submitted

This application discloses a map generation method performed by an electronic device. The method includes: randomly placing first M sub-level maps of N sub-level maps in a predetermined map region, N>M, and the first M sub-level maps not overlapping with each other and at least one of the first M sub-level maps is not connected to the others of the first M sub-level maps; selecting, among the remaining N−M sub-level maps, one or more to-be-placed sub-level maps; and iteratively placing the to-be-placed sub-level maps at target candidate regions adjacent the at least one of the first M sub-level maps in accordance with a predetermined condition to obtain a target map, wherein the predetermined condition comprises: after a to-be-placed sub-level map is placed at one of the target candidate regions, the sub-level map is connected to the at least one of the first M sub-level maps.
