BEAM TIME SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND ACCESS NETWORK DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18510676 titled 'BEAM TIME SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND ACCESS NETWORK DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for a terminal device to report time synchronization information to an access network device based on certain conditions being met.

  • Terminal device determines time synchronization information using values from current and candidate beams.
  • Indication information is sent to access network device if time synchronization information meets preset condition.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in 5G networks, satellite communications, and IoT devices for accurate time synchronization.

Problems Solved

Ensures accurate time synchronization between terminal devices and access network devices. Improves overall network performance and reliability.

Benefits

Enhanced network efficiency. Improved data transmission reliability. Reduced latency in communication.

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimized Time Synchronization Method for Enhanced Network Performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

Embodiments of this application disclose a beam time synchronization method, for a terminal device to report, to an access network device, that time synchronization information meets a preset condition. The method in embodiments of this application includes: The terminal device determines the time synchronization information based on a time synchronization value of a first beam and a time synchronization value of a second beam. The second beam is a candidate beam or a previous serving beam, and the first beam is a current serving beam. The terminal device sends indication information to the access network device if the time synchronization information meets the preset condition, where the indication information indicates that the time synchronization information meets the preset condition.
