GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18486843 titled 'GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for processing geographic information in an intelligent vehicle scenario. The method involves a first device displaying location information on a plane and sending a message to a second device. The message instructs the second device to output location information related to the first location information. The second device then outputs the second location information based on the message received.

  • The method simplifies user operation by allowing the first device to display location information and instructing the second device to output related location information.
  • The first device and second device can be any terminal like a head unit, in-vehicle PC, mobile phone, or smart band.
  • The method can be applied in an intelligent vehicle scenario.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Navigation systems in vehicles can use this method to display location information on a screen and provide related information to the user.
  • Mobile phone applications can utilize this method to display location information and provide additional details or services based on the user's location.
  • Smart bands or wearable devices can use this method to display location information and provide fitness or health-related information based on the user's location.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Simplifies user operation by allowing one device to display location information and another device to provide related information.
  • Reduces the need for manual input or interaction from the user to obtain additional location information.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Enhanced user experience by providing seamless access to location-related information.
  • Improved efficiency in obtaining location information and related details.
  • Increased convenience for users in an intelligent vehicle scenario.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application discloses a geographic information processing method, which may be applied to a terminal like a head unit, an in-vehicle PC, a mobile phone, or a smart band, and may be applied to a scenario in an intelligent vehicle. The method includes: A first device displays first location information on a corresponding first plane, and then the first device sends a first message to a second device. The first message indicates the second device to output location information related to the first location information. After receiving the first message, the second device may output, based on the first message, second location information related to the first location information. This helps simplify a user operation.
