This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18485007 titled 'USER EQUIPMENT, BASE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a user equipment that can communicate with multiple networks using different subscriber identification modules. It includes two communicators operating in different frequency bands and a controller to manage communication between networks.

  • User equipment with multiple communicators for different frequency bands
  • Controller to handle communication between networks
  • Transmitting frequency-related information to base stations of different networks
  • Utilizing different subscriber identification modules for network access

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in:

  • Multi-network communication devices
  • Roaming between different network providers
  • IoT devices requiring connectivity to various networks

Problems Solved

This technology addresses:

  • Seamless switching between networks
  • Efficient utilization of multiple subscriber identification modules
  • Enhanced connectivity options for users

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Improved network coverage and reliability
  • Enhanced flexibility for users to access different networks
  • Optimal utilization of available network resources

Potential Commercial Applications

"Multi-Network Communication Device Technology for Enhanced Connectivity"

Some questions that are not answered by this article are:

What are the specific frequency bands used by the first and second communicators in the user equipment?

The abstract mentions the first and second frequency bands but does not specify the exact frequencies used.

How does the controller determine when to switch between the first and second communicators for network communication?

The abstract discusses the controller's role in managing communication between networks but does not detail the decision-making process for switching between communicators.

Original Abstract Submitted

A user equipment configured to communicate with a plurality of networks using a plurality of subscriber identification modules comprises: a first communicator including a receiver configured to receive a radio signal in a first frequency band; a second communicator including a receiver configured to receive a radio signal in a second frequency band; and a controller configured to, in a case where the first communicator is used for communication with a first network included in the plurality of networks, control the second communicator to transmit frequency-related information based at least on a use frequency that is a frequency used by the first communicator in the first frequency band to a base station of a second network included in the plurality of networks.
