IMAGE SENSOR INCLUDING SPIDER ROUTING - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18480677 titled 'IMAGE SENSOR INCLUDING SPIDER ROUTING

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an image sensor with two column lines and a read circuit that receives pixel signals through these lines. Each column line consists of a main wire, a first wire connected to one end of the main wire, and a second wire connected to the opposite end of the main wire. The distance between the two column lines is longer than the distance between the connection points of the first column line and the first interlayer connection region, and the second column line and the first interlayer connection region. Additionally, the length of the first wire of the first column line is greater than the length of the first wire of the second column line.

  • The image sensor includes two column lines and a read circuit.
  • Pixel signals are received through the first and second column lines.
  • Each column line consists of a main wire, a first wire, and a second wire.
  • The distance between the column lines is longer than the distance between their connection points and the first interlayer connection region.
  • The length of the first wire of the first column line is greater than the length of the first wire of the second column line.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Image sensors in digital cameras and smartphones.
  • Surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Medical imaging devices.
  • Industrial inspection and quality control systems.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improved image quality and resolution.
  • Enhanced signal transmission and noise reduction.
  • Efficient data capture and processing.
  • Compact and reliable image sensor design.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Higher image sensor performance.
  • Enhanced image capturing capabilities.
  • Improved overall system efficiency.
  • Compact and space-saving design.
  • Reduced noise and improved signal integrity.

Original Abstract Submitted

An image sensor includes first and second column lines, and a read circuit configured to receive pixel signals through the first and second column lines. The first column line and the second column line each include a main wire, a first wire between one end of the main wire and the first interlayer connection region, and a second wire connected with an opposite end of the main wire. A first distance between the first and second column lines is longer than a second distance between a connection point of the first column line and the first interlayer connection region and a connection point of the second column line and the first interlayer connection region. A length of the first wire of the first column line is greater than a length of the first wire of the second column line.
