A display method according to an aspect of the present disclosure including: sequentially displaying M different pattern images GOP, by a display device configured to display a display image, when an operation mode of the display device is a first operation mode, M being a natural number; correcting the display image based on a first captured image group acquired by imaging the M different pattern images GOP; sequentially displaying N different pattern images GOP by the display device when the operation mode of the display device is a second operation mode different from the first operation mode, N being a natural number smaller than the M; acquiring a second captured image group acquired by imaging the N different pattern images; and correcting the display image based on the second captured image group.
