CONVEYOR WAREWASHER WITH CAMERA SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18466416 titled 'CONVEYOR WAREWASHER WITH CAMERA SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The conveyor warewasher patent application describes a system that includes a camera system above or below the conveyor to capture images of the conveyor, with a transparent surface element for heating.

  • The conveyor warewasher includes at least one washing zone and at least one rinsing zone.
  • The camera system captures images of the conveyor continuously or at predefined times.
  • The camera system includes at least one camera and a transparent surface element for heating.
  • The transparent surface element is made of transparent glass or plastic.
  • The heating device associated with the transparent surface element heats at least one portion of it as needed.

Potential Applications

The technology can be applied in industrial settings where conveyor warewashers are used, such as restaurants, hotels, and catering facilities.

Problems Solved

The system helps monitor the conveyor during the washing and rinsing process, ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance.

Benefits

- Improved monitoring of the conveyor system - Enhanced cleaning efficiency - Reduced maintenance costs

Potential Commercial Applications

"Enhancing Conveyor Warewasher Efficiency in Industrial Settings"

Possible Prior Art

There may be similar patents related to conveyor systems with monitoring devices, but the specific combination of a camera system with a transparent surface element for heating may be unique.

Unanswered Questions

How does the heating device interact with the transparent surface element to maintain optimal temperature?

The patent application mentions a heating device associated with the transparent surface element, but the specific mechanism of how it operates is not detailed.

What are the potential maintenance requirements for the camera system and transparent surface element?

While the benefits of the technology are highlighted, the maintenance aspects, such as cleaning and replacement of components, are not discussed in the abstract.

Original Abstract Submitted

A conveyor warewasher includes at least one washing zone, at least one rinsing zone, a conveyor and a camera system arranged above or below the conveyor and configured to capture at least one image of a portion of the conveyor, preferably continuously or at predefined or definable times and/or events. The camera system includes at least one camera and a transparent surface element arranged in a region of the field of view of the camera, in the form of a transparent glass or plastic panel, wherein the at least one camera is at least partly or in some areas separated from the portion of the conveyor optically covered by the camera system, via the transparent surface element. A heating device is associated with the transparent surface element for heating, in particular continuously or as needed, at least one portion of the transparent surface element.
