CONTENT OUTPUT CONTROL DEVICE, CONTENT OUTPUT CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18461662 titled 'CONTENT OUTPUT CONTROL DEVICE, CONTENT OUTPUT CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an audio content output control device that includes a memory, an arbitration unit, and an audio output control unit. The device is designed to perform arbitration of audio contents based on predefined rules and constraints, and control the output of audio contents assigned to specific zones.

  • The device includes a memory that stores a rule definition, which includes an arbitration policy and a constraint expression.
  • An arbitration unit is responsible for performing arbitration of audio contents based on the rule definition when receiving output requests.
  • An audio output control unit is used to control the output of audio contents assigned to specific zones during the arbitration process.
  • The memory stores the rule definition considering the specific requirements of the audio contents.
  • The arbitration unit performs the arbitration of audio contents based on the rule definition, taking into account the specific requirements of the audio contents.

Potential Applications

  • Home audio systems with multiple zones where different audio contents need to be controlled and outputted.
  • Public address systems in large venues or buildings where different audio contents need to be managed and distributed to different areas.
  • Audio streaming platforms or services that require efficient and rule-based arbitration of audio contents.

Problems Solved

  • Simplifies the management and control of audio contents in systems with multiple zones or areas.
  • Provides a rule-based arbitration system that ensures fair and efficient distribution of audio contents.
  • Allows for customization and consideration of specific requirements of different audio contents.

Benefits

  • Improved control and management of audio contents in complex systems.
  • Efficient and fair distribution of audio contents based on predefined rules and constraints.
  • Customization and consideration of specific requirements of different audio contents.

Original Abstract Submitted

An audio content output control device includes a memory, an arbitration unit, and an audio output control unit. The memory stores a rule definition including: an arbitration policy for defining basic arbitration when one of audio contents is assigned to a zone; and a constraint expression. The arbitration unit performs arbitration of the audio contents according to the rule definition to satisfy rule-based arbitration upon receiving output requests of the audio contents. The audio output control unit controls output of the one of the audio contents assigned to the zone when the arbitration of the audio contents is performed by the arbitration unit. The memory stores the rule definition in consideration of requirements specific to the audio contents, respectively. The arbitration unit performs the arbitration of the audio contents in accordance with the rule definition in consideration of the requirements specific to the audio contents.
