DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18447691 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a display device that consists of two pixel regions, each with its own set of pixels and gate control lines. These two regions are separated by a non-pixel region, which contains a coupling line that connects multiple gate control lines from both regions.

  • The display device has two distinct pixel regions with separate pixels and gate control lines.
  • A non-pixel region separates the two pixel regions.
  • A coupling line in the non-pixel region connects multiple gate control lines from both pixel regions.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • This display device can be used in various electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and televisions.
  • It can provide a higher resolution and better image quality due to the separate pixel regions.
  • The coupling line allows for efficient control of the gate control lines, improving the overall performance of the display.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • The separate pixel regions and coupling line help to reduce cross-talk and interference between the gate control lines, resulting in a clearer and more accurate display.
  • The non-pixel region provides a physical separation between the two pixel regions, preventing any interference between them.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved image quality and resolution due to separate pixel regions.
  • Reduced cross-talk and interference between gate control lines.
  • Efficient control of gate control lines, leading to better overall performance of the display.

Original Abstract Submitted

A display device includes a first pixel region including a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of first gate control lines coupled to the first pixels, and a second pixel region spaced apart from the first pixel region. The second pixel region includes a plurality of second pixels and a plurality of second gate control lines coupled to the second pixels. The display device further includes a first non-pixel region disposed between the first pixel region and the second pixel region, and a first coupling line disposed in the first non-pixel region. The first coupling line commonly couples at least two first gate control lines and at least two second gate control lines.
