COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURE APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18400048 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURE APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is capable of storing files obtained from external devices along with accompanying information, and rewriting this information if it is not initially present.

  • The apparatus stores files and accompanying information from external devices.
  • If a file obtained does not have accompanying information, the apparatus obtains and stores related information from the external device.
    • Potential Applications:**

This technology could be used in communication devices, such as smartphones or tablets, to efficiently manage and store files with their corresponding information. It could also be applied in data transfer systems to ensure that all necessary data is properly stored and organized.

    • Problems Solved:**

This technology solves the problem of missing or incomplete information when transferring files between devices. By automatically obtaining and storing related information, it ensures that all files are properly documented and organized.

    • Benefits:**

- Improved file management and organization - Enhanced data integrity and accuracy - Streamlined communication and data transfer processes

    • Potential Commercial Applications:**

A potential commercial application of this technology could be in cloud storage services, where users can easily upload and store files along with relevant information. It could also be integrated into file sharing platforms to ensure that all shared files are properly documented.

    • Possible Prior Art:**

One possible prior art could be systems that automatically tag files with metadata upon upload or transfer to a storage unit. These systems aim to improve file organization and searchability by adding relevant information to each file.

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus, when a file obtained from a first external apparatus is a first file that is accompanied by first information in the first external apparatus, stores the first file into a storage unit, and stores the first information of the first file thereinto, and when the file obtained from the first external apparatus is a second file that is not accompanied by the first information, obtains, from the first external apparatus, second information related to a recording date and time when the second file has been recorded, and rewrites the first information into the second information when storing the second file into the storage unit.
