COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18391854 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is designed to analyze the state of a target person captured in an image and make decisions on how to communicate with them based on that analysis. The apparatus includes a processing unit, a judgement unit, and a communication unit to carry out this process.

  • The processing unit generates state information about the target person from the image.
  • The judgement unit uses the state information to determine what information needs to be transmitted to a first terminal associated with the target person, and decides whether to transmit that information.
  • The communication unit then transmits the necessary information to the first terminal.

Potential Applications: - Personalized communication systems - Enhanced decision-making support tools

Problems Solved: - Efficient communication with target individuals - Tailored responses based on individual states

Benefits: - Improved communication effectiveness - Streamlined decision-making processes

Potential Commercial Applications: - Customer service applications - Healthcare monitoring systems

Possible Prior Art: - Facial recognition technology - Personalized marketing algorithms

Unanswered Questions: 1. How does the apparatus ensure the privacy and security of the information transmitted to the first terminal? 2. What measures are in place to prevent misinterpretation of the state information generated by the processing unit?

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus includes a processing unit, a judgement unit, and a communication unit. The processing unit generates state information indicating a state of a target person by processing an image in which the target person is captured. The judgement unit performs, by using the state information, at least one of processing of determining first information needed to be transmitted to a first terminal and processing of deciding whether to transmit the first information to the first terminal. The first terminal is associated with the target person, and is operated by a different person from the target person. The communication unit transmits the first information to the first terminal. The communication apparatus can also support decision-making on how to respond to the target person.
