ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PROCESSING HANDWRITING INPUT ON BASIS OF LEARNING, OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18373874 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PROCESSING HANDWRITING INPUT ON BASIS OF LEARNING, OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

An electronic device is described that includes a display, a memory for storing a machine learning algorithm related to character separation, and at least one processor. The processor is configured to receive a handwriting input via the display, extract feature information between a series of consecutive strokes corresponding to the handwriting input, merge or separate the strokes through the machine learning algorithm based on the extracted feature information, and perform handwriting recognition based on the result of the merging or separation.

  • The electronic device has a display, memory, and processor.
  • The processor receives handwriting input via the display.
  • Feature information is extracted between consecutive strokes of the handwriting input.
  • The machine learning algorithm is used to merge or separate the strokes based on the extracted feature information.
  • Handwriting recognition is performed based on the result of the merging or separation.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Handwriting recognition software and devices
  • Digital note-taking applications
  • Signature verification systems
  • Handwriting-based authentication systems

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improves accuracy and efficiency of handwriting recognition
  • Enables better interpretation and understanding of handwritten text
  • Facilitates seamless integration of handwriting input in digital devices

Benefits of this technology:

  • Enhanced user experience with improved handwriting recognition
  • Increased productivity in tasks involving handwriting input
  • Enables more natural and intuitive interaction with electronic devices

Original Abstract Submitted
