DEADLINE-BASED DATA PACKETS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18366642 titled 'DEADLINE-BASED DATA PACKETS

Simplified Explanation

- User equipment (UE) can indicate a data delivery deadline to a network node for data traffic. - The data delivery deadline specifies when the network node should transmit data packets received from the UE. - The UE can also provide the network node with the data packets to be transmitted. - The data packets can include a protocol data unit (PDU), a group of PDUs, or a PDU set or burst.

Potential Applications

- Improved efficiency in wireless communication networks. - Enhanced quality of service for data traffic delivery.

Problems Solved

- Ensuring timely delivery of data traffic in wireless communication. - Optimizing network node transmission based on UE indications.

Benefits

- Better coordination between UE and network node. - More accurate data delivery scheduling. - Enhanced overall network performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment transmits, to a network node, an indication of a data delivery deadline for data traffic to be delivered by the network node, wherein the data delivery deadline indicates by when the network node is to transmit one or more data packets received from the UE, and/or a nominal arrival time for the data traffic to be received at the network node, wherein the nominal arrival time in combination with a nominal delay budget indicates by when the network node is to transmit the one or more data packets received from the UE. Moreover, the UE transmits, to the network node, the one or more data packets, which may include a protocol data unit (PDU), a group of PDUs, or a PDU set or burst.
