PAIRING OF SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNALS FOR TRACKING AND MEASUREMENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18363410 titled 'PAIRING OF SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNALS FOR TRACKING AND MEASUREMENT

Simplified Explanation

This disclosure relates to wireless communication systems and methods that support synchronization signal pairing. The patent application describes a network node that receives information from another network node regarding the number of beams and bitmap information for each beam. Based on this information, the network node generates measurement information.

  • The patent application describes a system for wireless communication that supports synchronization signal pairing.
  • A network node receives information about the number of beams and bitmap information from another network node.
  • The network node generates measurement information based on the received bitmap information.
  • The system aims to improve synchronization signal pairing in wireless communication.

Potential Applications:

  • This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks, Wi-Fi networks, and satellite communication systems.
  • It can enhance the efficiency and reliability of synchronization signal pairing in these systems, leading to improved overall performance.

Problems Solved:

  • Synchronization signal pairing is crucial in wireless communication systems to ensure proper synchronization between network nodes.
  • However, existing methods may have limitations in terms of efficiency and accuracy.
  • This technology addresses these limitations by providing a system that receives beam and bitmap information to generate accurate measurement information.

Benefits:

  • Improved synchronization signal pairing can lead to better overall performance in wireless communication systems.
  • Enhanced efficiency and accuracy in synchronization can result in faster and more reliable data transmission.
  • This technology can contribute to the development of advanced wireless communication networks with improved capabilities.

Original Abstract Submitted

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support synchronization signal pairing. In a first aspect, a first network node includes a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive, from a second network node, an indication of a first quantity of beams, receive, from the second network node, bitmap information including a first bitmap for a first beam of the first quantity of beams and a second bitmap for a second beam of the first quantity of beams, and generate first measurement information based on the bitmap information. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
