FAN MOTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18356549 titled 'FAN MOTOR

Simplified Explanation

The fan motor described in the patent application includes a heat dissipation fin with an outer ring part, an inner ring part, and a connection part. The inner ring part is elastically deformed to be inclined in parallel to a rotational shaft, improving concentricity of the bearing and reducing its temperature.

  • The heat dissipation fin consists of an outer ring part, an inner ring part, and a connection part.
  • The inner ring part is elastically deformed to be inclined in parallel to a rotational shaft.
  • This design improves concentricity (axial alignment) of the bearing and reduces its temperature.

Potential Applications

The technology could be applied in various cooling systems, such as computer fans, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.

Problems Solved

1. Improved concentricity of bearings. 2. Reduced temperature of bearings.

Benefits

1. Enhanced performance and longevity of bearings. 2. Efficient heat dissipation. 3. Improved overall system reliability.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Enhancing Bearing Performance with Innovative Heat Dissipation Fin Technology"

Possible Prior Art

There may be prior art related to heat dissipation fins in fan motors, but specific examples are not provided in the patent application.

Unanswered Questions

How does the design of the heat dissipation fin impact the overall efficiency of the fan motor?

The efficiency of the fan motor could be affected by factors such as airflow resistance, power consumption, and heat dissipation capabilities.

Are there any limitations to the elastically deformed inner ring part in terms of long-term durability and reliability?

The long-term durability and reliability of the elastically deformed inner ring part may be influenced by factors such as material fatigue, environmental conditions, and maintenance practices.

Original Abstract Submitted

A fan motor is disclosed. The fan motor includes a heat dissipation fin. The heat dissipation fin includes an outer ring part, an inner ring part disposed inside the outer ring part, and a connection part connecting the outer ring part and the inner ring part. The inner ring part is elastically deformed to be inclined in parallel to a rotational shaft which is inclined when axial alignment between bearings is not made. Accordingly, the heat dissipation fin can reduce a temperature of the bearing while enclosing the bearing, and improve concentricity (axial alignment) of the bearing.
