ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR UPDATING WEATHER INFORMATION BASED ON ACTIVITY STATE OF USER USING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18331457 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR UPDATING WEATHER INFORMATION BASED ON ACTIVITY STATE OF USER USING THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an example electronic device that includes various components such as a wireless communication circuit, a positioning circuit, a sensor circuit, a touch screen display, and a processor. The processor is connected to the other circuits and is responsible for identifying the user's activity state based on sensor information received from an external electronic device. It also updates weather information based on the device's position information received through the positioning circuit and displays relevant graphic objects on the touch screen display.

  • The electronic device includes a wireless communication circuit, positioning circuit, sensor circuit, touch screen display, and a processor.
  • The processor analyzes sensor information received from an external electronic device to identify the user's activity state.
  • The device updates weather information based on the device's position information received through the positioning circuit.
  • Graphic objects related to position information, weather information, or the user's activity state are displayed on the touch screen display.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Personal fitness tracking: The device can track the user's activity state and display relevant information such as distance traveled, calories burned, and weather conditions.
  • Navigation and outdoor activities: By utilizing the positioning circuit and weather updates, the device can provide real-time navigation assistance and weather forecasts for outdoor activities.
  • Smart home integration: The device can communicate with other smart home devices through the wireless communication circuit, allowing for seamless integration and control of various home automation systems.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improved user experience: By analyzing sensor information and updating weather information, the device can provide personalized and relevant information to the user, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Efficient activity tracking: The device can accurately identify the user's activity state, eliminating the need for manual input or additional devices for activity tracking.
  • Real-time weather updates: The device receives position information and updates weather information accordingly, providing the user with up-to-date weather forecasts and conditions.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Convenience: The device combines multiple functionalities such as activity tracking, weather updates, and touch screen display in a single electronic device, offering convenience to the user.
  • Personalization: By analyzing sensor information and updating weather information based on the user's activity state, the device provides personalized information tailored to the user's needs and preferences.
  • Enhanced user engagement: The display of graphic objects related to position information, weather information, or the user's activity state on the touch screen display enhances user engagement and interaction with the device.

Original Abstract Submitted

An example electronic device may include a wireless communication circuit, a positioning circuit, a sensor circuit, a touch screen display, and a processor operatively connected to the wireless communication circuit, the positioning circuit, the sensor circuit, and the touch screen display. The processor may be configured to identify an activity state of a user of the electronic device based on sensor information received for a predetermined time through an external electronic device connected through the wireless communication circuit and the sensor circuit, update the weather information corresponding to position information of the electronic device received through the positioning circuit when an update period of the weather information corresponding to the identified activity state of the user arrives, and display at least one graphic object related to at least one of the position information, the weather information, or the activity state of the user on the touch screen display.
